FAQs
CAN I BRING MY PET TO MY APPOINTMENT? Unfortunately we can’t accepted pets in our salon as we do cosmetic treatments. The Australian Law does not allow us to accept pets.
IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE BROW COSMETIC TATTOOING Microblading, Powder Brows and Powder Nano strokes symmetry is calculated using PhiBrows application. It is calculated while the clients eyes are closed because in that way mimetic muscles that can affect eyebrows symmetry are relaxed. Pictures of prepared shapes, as well as all other important information, are stored in your personal file, under notes. Which we keep private to the public.
Microblading Strokes and Powder Nano Strokes are always drawn in the direction of natural hair growth in order to achieve hyper-realistic eyebrow look.
Before each treatment, the skin should not be burnt, nor in recovery or regeneration process.
The following treatments are not recommended 30 days before or after the treatment: botox and fillers fruit or lactic acids laser treatments chemical peel exposure to strong sunlight.
ANAESTHETIC IS PROVIDED BY YOU Make sure you apply it one hour before your treatment, come in the studio with it on. Bring the anaesthetic with you so we can re-apply during the service.
WHY DO I NEED TO PURCHASE MY OWN ANESTHETIC?
Your own anaesthetic must have your name clearly labelled on it from a compounding chemist for us to apply for you.
Why? Due to regulations, we are not allowed to supply anesthetic to our clients as you may have allergies so a pharmacist will screen you to make sure you are suitable. You must have your name clearly labelled on the anesthetic. To order the anesthetic you will need to make a quick call which takes about 5-10 minutes and the anesthetic will be delivered to your door.
Post-treatment care makes 70% of total treatment success. Conscientiously stick and adhere to the given advice, because if you don’t do that, you can lose up to 80% of drawn strokes. Following your advice and this written document is of great significance.
HOW LONG DOES EYEBROW TATTOOING TAKE TO HEAL?
Healing, which consists of scabbing and peeling can take up to 3 weeks maximum. After care instructions should be followed to ensure that eyebrows have healed accordingly.
Cosmetic tattooing treatments are done by using sterile and disposable tools, while pigments are of the highest standard (PhiBrows Microblading pigments).
Correction is done a month after the treatment as 40-50% of pigment is lost after the first treatment. Inserted pigment is very dark during the first 5 to 7 days.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY COSMETIC TATTOO SERVICE?
BROWS AND LIP First, the artist will need to do a patch test on the skin at least 24 hours before the procedure. Make sure to call and book a 15 minute consultation prior to! Before the appointment begins, the artist will provide a quick consultation to discuss expectations and results of the treatment.
The artist then draws on the eyebrow shape or lip shape according to the golden ratio measuring tool. Brows and Lips are measured perfectly to complement your unique face shape and size.
Next, the artist chooses the perfect PhiBrows colour. Initial strokes are placed, then aesthetic is applied to reduce any discomfort. Pigment is worked into each stroke to define the brow.
After, a pigment mask is left to absorb into the skin.
Once that's finished, the artist cleans the area thoroughly.
After the service, the artist will apply medical silicone crema /gel and hand it over to you.
One hour after the end of the treatment eyebrows should be thoroughly (without stretching the skin) wiped with the "After care PhiWips" your artist gave you.
Then wash them with warm water with neutral shampoo or just with a very small amount of warm water and then a thin layer of the medical silicon or Bepantol cream. This procedure should be repeated every hour, at least 5 times to prevent scaring. At the end your artist will give you an after care guide, to guide you through the 3 weeks and will book your next appointment for the refresh touch up.
7 days later, it loses up to 40% of its intensity.
If you think that pigment is too dark, do not try to fade it by yourself.
Be patient and trust the process. First wait for 7 days until it fades away naturally. For how long the pigment will be retained mostly depends on the skin oiliness. The oilier the skin is the shorter pigment retention is.
Sweating and sun exposure also affect pigment retention. On average, expected time until new refreshment of pigment is 10 to 12 months. If the skin is oily, it takes up to 6 months.
Healing is completely done 28 days later and then it is necessary to add the pigment that was lost in the meanwhile which is done 42 days after the treatment.
If the skin is problematic and oily, several such corrections can be made.

LIPLINER/LIP BLUSH PROCEDURES
If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex), we advise you to contact your doctor to obtain the proper prescription medication to prevent such outbreaks.
Alternatively, obtain herpes medication for example Zovirax from your local chemist and use one week before and one week after your procedure. This can help minimise an outbreak.
Permanent cosmetic procedures do not cause cold sores, however if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the body and can be aroused by the procedure.
Lip wax or bleaching treatments
should not be undertaken for at least a two week period preceding your permanent cosmetic procedure.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST? Cosmetic tattooing is long lasting. Everyone's skin and lifestyle is different so we can't predict how long it will last. You would need a touch up 1 or 2 times a year, depending on your skin and life style. Generally it can take up to 12 months to 3 years for the colour to completely fade (however, you may always be left with some residue)
Skin care routine will also affect the lasting effect of the pigment.
Clients who tan, uses products with AHA or Glyolic Acid will fade faster as your skin will resurface faster. Each individual’s colour retention within the skin will vary.
We recommend a 12-18 month refresher to keep your brows looking fresh.
We also recommend a tint and wax monthly to maintain the shape of the tattoo.
ARE THERE ANY RISKS OR COMPLICATIONS?
We take all proper precautions for a safe session by using sterilised equipment, new needles and in a sanitised environment. Should clients follow my pre and post care instructions, there should be minimal risks or complications. Although allergic reactions to the pigments are rare, it could be possible for certain individuals.
A patch test is required for individuals who have high skin sensitivities or are allergic to hair dyes. Patch test should be performed at least 24 hours prior so please let us know prior to your appointment if this is necessary.
HOW DEEP DOES THE PIGMENT GO FOR COSMETIC TATTOING?
Pigment is applied manually in the surface layer of the dermis.
WILL THE PIGMENTS TURN RED, ORANGE, BLUE OR PURPLE AFTER A WHILE, IF NOT, WHY?
NO, because we mostly use Phibrows they are comprised of high-quality ingredients, have high light fastness and concentration. They will only become a lighter version of the original color(s).
DO THE PHIBROW PIGMENTS TURN GREY AFTER A WHILE?
No. The only color that will heal grey is GREY. All the colors in the set have been formulated to avoid ashy, healed results.
However, it does depend to the clients skin type and life style
CAN I BRING A GUEST/CHILDREN?
Unfortunately, our salon isn’t child friendly and due to Occupational Health & Safety, only the tattooist and client can be in the room during the procedure. We ask that you attend your appointment alone.
IS IT DONE WITH A MACHINE?
MICROBLADING is a manual, semi-permanent technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to the facial morphology and golden mean (phi 1,618).
The beauty of feathering it doesn't require no electronic or scary vibrating machine! With the a hand-tool and blade we are able to create fine hair-strokes following the direction of your hair growth.
POWDERBROWS, POWDER NANO STROKES, LIP BLUSH, LIP LINER, EYELINER and FRECKLES done with a machine. Our cosmetic tattoo treatments are semi permanent makeup technique designed to create a soft powder effect, very similar to makeup. Powder effect is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup device, which is similar to a tattoo gun.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Pain during the treatment is relative. Scared clients usually feel stronger pain, while the other clients compare such pain with the one that they feel when plucking out their eyebrows. In addition, with women having period there is an increased sensitivity to pain, so it is not recommended to do the treatment while ladies have their period. It is possible to use light anesthetics, in the form of cream or liquid, to completely eliminate pain during the treatment. The service can be a little uncomfortable for those who are more sensitive. Numbing cream is applied during the procedure to keep this to a minimum to where it is completely tolerable. We do not use numbing cream before hand, only during. After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal. For Henna it is completely not painful as it is a powder applied on your skin.
CAN I CHOOSE MY OWN COLOUR?
Pigment is determined according to the natural colour of the eyebrows and hair. After healing, pigment can become several nuances brighter compared to natural hair colour. We can also help you with choosing the right shade to suit your preference.
Lip tattoo it will depend on your natural lip color and on your preference. We will help you make a desicion.
Eyeliner we can only us black as lighter (browns) will not take on the skin. With eyeliner we can create different effects.
How successful the treatment will be depends on:
· skin quality
· post-treatment care
· exposure to various external influences
· Stay out of the sun, since it can fade the pigment, and avoid putting exfoliants (like retinol and glycolic acid) near your brows, because they'll lift the top layers of your skin with continued use and the colour with it.
None of these factors are under the Artist’s control, this providing any guarantee for the treatment is not possible.
WHY DO I NEED A TOUCH UP? Once pigment from the procedure begins to noticeably fade, you'll need to go back to your practitioner for a touch-up application. Touch-ups can be necessary after 42 days and every six months or every year, depending on your skin type and preferred look. It all depends on how well your skin absorbs the ink, and/or fades. This is determined by a number of factors which comes into play such as exposure to sun, laser, certain medications, skin type etc. For clients who have oily skin or participate in activities that involve swimming in chlorine water.
WHO IS MICROBLADING SUITABLE FOR? Microblading is suitable for who have thinned, over-plucked, fair, poorly shaped, sparse eyebrows, full eyebrows but needs an adjustments. Suitable for young skin, dark skin, lighter skin, brunettes, blonds, reds and greys!

Also it suits who has thin, over-plucked, fair, poorly shaped, sparse eyebrows, full eyebrows but needs an adjustments.

But is not suitable for who has thin skin and visible veins.
CAN EYELINER MAKE YOU LOOK OLDER? This does depend the individuals facial features but sometimes is can.
IS EYELINER SUITABLE FOR SOMEONE MATURE? Yes of course but subtle is key.
WHAT IS A REFRESH? A refresh is when we go over the hair strokes to apply more pigment in order for the brows to last longer, if your brows fade too much you may lose the effect and shape of the Microblading that is why we recommend to get a retouch at least every six month to a year. This allows time for eyebrows to completely heal before perfecting them second time round. DO I STILL NEED TO DO THE AFTER CARE? Microblading touch up procedures require the same aftercare as the original procedure, but the healing process does not take as long. If a follow-up visit is not scheduled within four to six weeks after the procedure, the client may request a touch-up.

LASH LIFT
WHAT IS A LASH LIFT?
A lash lift-and-tint treatment involves two separate processes, both designed to give you beautiful, fluttery eyelashes for weeks. The lash lift mimics the effect of an eyelash curler. It makes your lashes bend upwards, leaving them looking longer, and your eyes more open and bright.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LASH LIFT?
A good candidate for the Lash Lift is someone who to make their eyes look open and pretty without the daily hassle or no maintenance or damage of a lash curler. For the best results possible, we recommend using a reputable lash serum.
HOW LONG DOES A LASH LIFT LAST?
A lash lift will last the natural growth of your eyelash life cycle, it varies for everyone but roughly it last up to 6 weeks
DO LASH LIFTS HURT?
Lash lifts are not painful at all. You do have to keep your eyes closed the entire time, which can be uncomfortable for some, especially if you have sensitive eyes, but most of our clients end up falling asleep because it's so relaxing.
HOW OFTEN CAN YOU LASH LIFT?
A lash lift will begin to naturally drop after about 2 months and your lashes will be back to their natural look. The lashes should drop evenly and will not look out of place. You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of one month if you feel you need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state. We recommend at least waiting 6-8 weeks. If you are not sure please ask your technician.
IS A LASH LIFT SUITED FOR ME?
A lash lift is suitable for who has straight or unruly lashes.
IS THERE ANY AFTER CARE AFTER A LASH LIFT?
Yes, after your treatment we go through the after care. TEETH WHITEING FAQS
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
The peroxide gels we use is the strongest available in Australia for non-dental practitioners. Our products are all at ACCC compliant levels. Our wholesaler is one of the few companies offering Carbamide Peroxide which is endorsed by the ADIA as being the most stable of the products available causing less sensitivity. Our clients achieve excellent results of 5-14 shades lighter.
IS TEETH WHITENING SAFE?
We offer the latest whitening gel approved for use in Australia. Our gel is safe and gentle and problems are extremely rare.
HOW DOES A TEETH WHITENING SYSTEM WORK?
The machines which are also called lamps or lasers and work by accelerating the bleaching gel achieving maximum results around 1 hour. Without the use of the laser, results would take weeks of daily treatment to achieve the best results.
SHOULDN’T DENTIST BE DOING TEETH WHITENING?
For decades dentists have been offering the Phillips Zoom teeth bleaching system and charging up to $1,200 for a treatment.
A professional teeth whitening service is a cosmetic process and does not require us to be a dentist. Teeth whitening can be offered from a salon, beauty clinic, barbershop or even as a home or mobile business.
Australian regulations allow non-dental practitioners the use of up to 6% HP (hydrogen peroxide) or 18%CP (carbamide peroxide) to be used for cosmetic teeth whitening.
Perfetto Brows offers the very best technology, machine and products to our clients.
IS LED WHITENING BAD FOR YOUR TEETH?
Our safe and gentle products achieve the best results for most clients. The process, when done correctly, is safe on teeth and gums. The ADIA say it is safe to have a teeth whitening treatment every 3-4 months without risking harm to your enamel.
HOW LONG DO I LEAVE WHITENING GEL ON MY TEETH?
Many people believe, the longer you keep a stronger solution on your teeth, the whiter your teeth become. However, this is not the case. Peroxide gel peeks after being applied for 20 minutes and there is little or no benefit after this. Keeping the gel on longer will dehydrate the tooth and increase sensitivity to the teeth and gums. To increase the results it is best to remove the gel completely and repeat the application. Using stronger peroxide or leaving the gel on for long periods will not give better results it will only cause more pain and sensitivity with a risk of blisters in the mouth.
There are pros and cons to each option, but before you try our in salon whitening treatment, talk to your dentist about the condition of your teeth and gums and ensure you have no dental work required before doing any whitening treatment.
Not everyone will see good results as your teeth will only lighten to their original colour. Some people have naturally yellower teeth than others.
There are also conditions like fluorosis and intrinsic stains which will not benefit from a whitening treatment no matter who does it of what teeth whitening products are used. Whitening will not lighten porcelain veneers, fillings or crowns.
WHAT RESULTS CAN MY CLIENTS EXPECT FROM AND IN-CHAIR TREATMENT?
We get fantastic results from our products with results of 5 to 14 shades whiter able to be achieved on untreated teeth. Results will be reduced if the client uses any home whitening products or has had an in-chair treatment in the past 2 years. Most clients are thrilled with their results but some have unrealistic expectations. Teeth whitening will not produce paper while results like seen in the movies this is a result of having the surface of the teeth replaced with porcelain veneers. Tooth bleaching will remove stains from the surface of the teeth and return them to the colour they were originally grown.
When done in-chair the client can get maximum results in less than 1 hour. The whitening solution is activated by an accelerator lamp which can get your teeth as white as they will go by whitening in a single visit. So what does this mean? How white will your teeth go? Your teeth will whiten to the colour they were originally prior to staining by diet and lifestyle. Teeth whitening removes stains from the surface of the teeth, it doesn't whiten enamel no matter who does it.
